What is a diaper cake?

A diaper cake, also known as a baby cake, could quite possibly be the perfect gift for new mothers and fathers.  First, between two and six tiers are created from hand rolled and folded premium disposable or cloth diapers (depending on the type of cake) in the shape of a traditional wedding cake.  Each tier is then decorated and filled with the essential items and clothing that a new baby will need and a parent will appreciate.  Ribbon and decorations are then added to the exterior of the cake to match the overall theme.  The great thing about diaper cakes from Rattlecake.com is that all ingredients are 100% usable and once the baby arrives, all diapers and accessories can be utilized by the baby.  Although these handcrafted cakes are inedible, they are sure to make a "sweet" impression on the recipients.

When should I give a diaper cake as a gift?

A diaper cake makes a great gift at pretty much any point during or after a pregnancy.  Since our diaper cakes are immediately wrapped in a 1.6 mil cellophane bag and tightly sealed with a ribbon once they are completed, they will remain fresh until they are opened for use.  Rattlecake diaper cakes make the perfect present for moms or dads at:

What brand and size diapers do you use in your diaper cakes?

We use Pampers Swaddlers Size 1 diapers in our diaper cakes.  We feel that they are perfect for our diaper cakes due to their high quality and pure white color.  An option to use Earth's Best Organic Disposable Diapers is also available on certain diaper cakes.  If you would like a different size or brand used in your cake, please contact us immediately after ordering with your request.

How are your diaper cakes packaged for shipping?

Our diaper cakes are shipped 100% assembled and will look nearly identical to the pictures on our website when they are removed from the box. Once complete, each diaper cake is sealed in a cellophane bag and placed into a sturdy cardboard box. We consider the packing materials we use to keep the diaper cake from shifting a trade secret, but rest assured it will arrive at its destination safe and sound. Will the diaper cake I receive look exactly like the one I ordered?

At Rattlecake.com we strive to make each cake that we ship out look exactly like the pictures of the cake that appear on our website.  Since we do not actually make your cake until you order it, the possibility exists that certain ingredients may be out of stock when the cake is ordered; therefore, certain variations in appearance may be necessary.  If a major ingredient is out of stock, we will immediately contact the purchaser to find an acceptable substitute.  If it is a minor ingredient, such as a ribbon or a flower, that is out of stock, we will use a substitute ingredient that is of equal or greater value and complimentary in color and design.  As always, at Rattlecake.com your complete satisfaction is our #1 priority!

What is your return policy?

Every order is extremely important to us and we want to make sure that all customers are 100% satisfied with their purchases.  If you are not completely happy with your diaper cake for any reason, please contact us by phone (1-888-99RATTLE) or email (questions@rattlecake.com) within the first 5 days of delivery of your cake and give us a chance to address whatever the issue may be.  If your purchase is received in damaged condition, simply return the damaged cake to us (we will issue you a return shipping label when you contact us--no returns will be accepted without one) and we will ship you a replacement as soon as we receive the damaged one.  Purchases may be returned for a full refund (minus the original shipping cost) if we cannot find a solution to whatever the problem may be.  Again, we will issue you a return authorization number to include with your return and once we receive the item, we will promptly issue you a full refund (minus the original shipping cost).  Please keep in mind that all returns must be received by us within 21 calendar days of the original delivery date and absolutely no refund will be issued if the diaper cake is removed from the cellophane wrapper.  If you have any questions about our return policy, please feel free to contact us.
