Baby Girl Diaper Cakes

You’re planning a baby shower for parents expecting a new baby girl. The most common choice is going with the color pink for the party, particularly as most guests will come with pink or yellow blankets, toys, and baby clothes. As diaper cakes are often a popular centerpiece for any baby shower, you will want one that matches the rest of the décor. Many baby girl diaper cakes are designed with the color pink, although yellow is also used. Whether solid pink or a flower pattern is used, the ribbons and baby products attached to the cake are usually a light to medium shade of pink.

Many baby girl diaper cakes stick exclusively with this shade. The diaper cake, itself, is packaged with pink ribbons and several baby products attached are also pink in color. This may include a pink baby blanket surrounding part of the cake, or a pink stuffed animal on top.

Animal themes are also common for baby girl diaper cakes. But, unlike unisex or gender-neutral designs, these animal diaper cakes are created specifically for a baby girl, with red or pink as a dominant color used. Ladybug diaper cakes, in this case, are popular. One at Rattlecake, for example, has a red and black plush ladybug on top and matching ribbon tying the rest of the cake together. Other animal themes for baby girls range from pink elephants and yellow giraffes to colorful butterflies, all with matching ribbon and baby products.

Of course, gender-neutral diaper cakes are appropriate for a baby shower for a girl. Rattlecake designs several neutral diaper cakes with green, yellow, or brown – sometimes all three of these colors together – and an animal theme. Monkeys, in this case, are popular, although teddy bears, turtles, and frogs are also used for many gender-neutral diaper cakes. If you’re planning a baby shower that isn’t centered on the color pink, any of these gender-neutral diaper cakes are appropriate for a baby girl.
